Delete your account.
You can delete your Tailmeet account whenever you like, no reason needed. In the app, or right here if it’s no longer on your phone.
In the app
- In Tailmeet, go to Perfil → Definições (Profile → Settings). The app is in Portuguese for now.
- Under Conta (Account), tap Eliminar conta (Delete account).
- Confirm twice. The account is deleted straight away.
What gets deleted
Everything linked to the account, immediately: your profile and your dog’s, the photos, likes and passes, matches and messages, blocks, Tailmeet sign-ups and the Tailmeets you created, saved places and the notification token. There is no recovery period: once deleted, the account is gone.
What is kept
Reports you made or that concern you, for moderation. They are no longer linked to the account, and the copy of the profile and conversation saved with each one is deleted 180 days after the report is closed; the report itself, two years after. The latest messages of your conversations are kept for 30 days, for moderation only, and then deleted. Your email on the website waitlist, if you left it there, is separate: write to us and we’ll delete it.
